Bible Chat is a Christian AI companion you can talk to on our website, WhatsApp, iMessage or SMS. This page explains what we keep and why. It is operated by Bible Chat (company details to confirm).

What we keep

Your messages and the companion’s replies, so the conversation can continue.

Things you choose to share that help the companion care for you: your name, people you mention, worries, prayer intentions, dates you ask it to remember.

Your settings: language, time zone, reminders you turned on, quiet hours.

Your phone number when you write from a phone app, to answer you there. On the website we use a random id stored in your browser, not your name.

What we do with it

We use it only to run the companion for you: to reply, remember, and send the reminders you asked for.

Replies are written by an AI model from a service provider (currently OpenAI), which receives the conversation to answer. Messages travel through the messaging service you chose (Meta for WhatsApp, Apple and our iMessage provider, phone carriers for SMS).

We do not sell your data and we do not use your conversations for advertising.

Private moments

An examen of conscience is never stored: those messages are not kept in your history or memory.

Your choices

Write STOP to stop messages we send first (reminders, check-ins); you can still write to us anytime. START turns them back on.

Ask “What do you remember about me?” to see what the companion keeps and forget any of it, or everything.

To delete your account and all your messages, contact us at support@thebiblechat.com (to confirm).

Children

Bible Chat is meant for adults (18+).
